On behalf of the dedicated men and women who serve as firefighters for the Orange County Emergency Services District #1, I would like to thank you for visiting our website. We are pleased to share an overview of our organization with you. Orange County Emergency Services District #1 provides services that range from fire suppression, hazardous materials mitigation, natural disaster response, emergency medical treatment, rescue, public fire education, fire inspections, fire investigation, and many other services which go unnoticed by the general public.
Currently Orange County Emergency Services District #1, “Your Hometown Fire Department”, serves a population of approximately 50,000 people. We protect an area of 160 square miles, including the Cities of Vidor, Pine Forest, and Rose City, from two fire stations located within our community. Career firefighter’s who provide fire protection 24 hours a day, are supplemented by our volunteer firefighter’s who find reward in donating their time to help protect their neighbors.
All personnel train constantly with the latest technology and emergency response operations. This training involves both classroom sessions and hands-on experience.
Through dedication, hard work and devotion to our community, Orange County Emergency Services District #1 exists for one purpose and one purpose only; to serve you! Enjoy the rest of this website.
Respectfully,
Robert L. Smith, MPA, CFI, MIFireE, CFE, ECO
